Iowa State announced Tuesday that starting point guard Tamin Lipsey will be sidelined for four to six weeks after suffering a knee injury in practice.
The senior guard sprained his right MCL but has a chance to return in time for the Cyclones’ season opener against Fairleigh Dickinson on November 3.
A hometown product from Ames, Lipsey has started all 103 games of his college career and holds the school record for steals with 237. He averaged 10.6 points, 3.1 assists, and 2.6 rebounds per game last season.
