Free-agent big man Precious Achiuwa has agreed to a one-year contract with the Miami Heat, according to sources.
The move brings the 2020 first-round pick (No. 20 overall) back to the franchise that drafted him, following four solid seasons split between Toronto and New York. Miami has been seeking additional frontcourt depth to complement star center Bam Adebayo.
Achiuwa was originally sent to the Raptors in 2021 along with Goran Dragic as part of the sign-and-trade deal that brought Kyle Lowry to the Heat. Over 320 career games, the 24-year-old has averaged 7.6 points and 5.7 rebounds.
